Assistant Dining Room Manager

Assistant Dining Room Manager ensures that Members and guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. Monitors setup, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of Dining areas. Supervises and trains the Dining Room Staff to Country Club standards of excellence. This individual is required to act as Manager on Duty in absence of the Food and Beverage Managers. This individual must be able to complete opening and closing duties/checklists in a timely fashion. This individual must coordinate food service between kitchen and dining staff along with enforcing Club Rules and policies. Supervision of pool staff in absence of Pool Manager falls under this position as well.

Job Requirements

1. Professional, very reliable, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
2. Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional Member service.
3. Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, alternating weekends, alternating holidays).
4. Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.
5. Professional appearance appropriate for a country club.
6. Ability to multitask and maintain high standards while working in a high paced environment
7. In absence of Food & Beverage Managers serve as Manager on Duty, conducting daily line-up and along with opening or closing procedures supervising the dining room, staff and maintaining uniform service standards.
8. Assist with banquet room set up and break down.
9. Review daily specials, stations and other applicable announcements.
10. Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
11. Take immediate action to correct any issues with members and staff.
12. Manage reservation system were applicable greeting members and guests along with assisting with seating.
12. Check tables throughout service times for Member satisfaction, resolve Member/guest complaints.
14. Enforce Club rules, regulations and policies.
15. Ensure side work is completed every shift and dining room supplies are requisitioned and stocked prior and after shifts.
16. Assist with training new-hires in service standards, menu items, and use of Jonas System.
17. Guide and motivate staff while holding them accountable for follow through of their duties
18. Communicate with staff and members face to face to deal with difficult situations
